Maths in a minute…. To send an email?!

How ingenious is this concept… Google has adopted “Mail Goggles” to prevent/protect you from sending emails that you might regret after a big night and while still under the influence.

By default, it is set to be active late on weekend nights, and all you need to do to prove you are actually sober is answer five simple maths questions in sixty seconds. Get them all correct and your email will be sent!

The one issue I see here, is that really smart people will get the questions right even while sloshed (too smart for their own good!). Or, you may have sober people up late trying to send emails, but because they only have one brain cell (a glial cell – not even a neuron! – sorry, Science joke), will just get frustrated at the whole thing because they fail every time.

That being said, if you are a fan of making a fool of yourself and leaving an embarrassing mess for you to clean-up in the morning (a metaphorical mess!) or if you are really really crap at maths, just turn the damn thing off.
