– an investigation of the human condition

What should I do?

I got my tax return back, and now have all this money that I don’t know what to do with. I’ve been thinking about spoling myself and buying a new toy (if you thought dirty things just then, shame on you!). But the dilemma I face is that I don’t know what I want…..

Do I buy the digital SLR camera that I’ve always wanted? (Even though I doubt i’ll really put it to good use)

Or do I invest in Gold and make other lucrative investments? (Not really serious about this one, it’s more a personal joke lol)

Should I just save it and watch the interest come rolling in? (And have a fairly boring life)

Or do I go against all that I stand for, and buy the Apple iPhone? (Even though I promised myself I’d wait for the next version considering the iPhone 3G has been having connectivity and battery failures??)

Hmm… Does anyone have any better ideas for me?

And no, I’m not going to give it to you.

Save half & spend the other half on crap you don’t need.
That way you still have money for something you might want down the track, and can still have fun with what you wanna get now.
Tis really just getting the best of both worlds.

Hmmmm…. this is difficult. If I were you, I’d buy a horse. But if you don’t have enough for that, there’s always a playstation 3, nintendo wii, new clothes, and the most fun thing in the world: NEW BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I’m not you, and you’re not me, and therefore, this suggestion is of little worth. 😛 Enjoy yor newfound wealth though, my advice is to spend it on something lasting that you will enjoy. 🙂

Canon 450D. I just bought one and it rocks! Well worth the investment.

Jess, are you just saying that because it’s the one I’ve got pictured?

Lol… Because I was actually thinking of getting that one. But all the salesmen I’ve talked to so far have been directing me to the new Sony Alpha series 😦 Canon are expensive and less features I guess – but the picture quality, I’ve read, is unmatched….? Can you confirm? 😛

No! I actually have that one!! I’d take a picture of it but, well, yeah you know…it’s the camera!!

Was looking at a Nikon but all the photographer people I know pointed towards the Canon. Was expensive but got a good deal from a place in York St (Fletcher’s Technics or something). Haven’t given in a great workout yet unfortunately because flat out with life – but the picture quality is great. It won’t let you take an unfocused photo (which is funny with my skills!). Not familiar with the Sony ones.

    DSLRs are fun!

Canon and Nikon are unrivaled for picture quality.
Anyway the 1000d is out and if you look carefully it’s well within your price range
Don’t settle for camera brands that have only existed for a few years.
