Stuvac Adventures!

Food that gives you back your b-b-bounce, that isn\'t Berocca.

The sale of Red Bull, V, lollies, chocolate and other “energy/sugar boost” products must go nuts during Stuvac and exams… I look around and seriously, almost everyone has something of that nature on their desk.

The other thing that is shitting me, is the amount of people that are bringing their laptops to the library during Stuvac and instead of studying are busy on MSN or Facebook. What is even worse is they don’t have the consideration to turn down the sound, so every new Facebook chat message they get, the entire study area is subjected to the annoying “Pop” sound that we’ve come to hate.

Oh and one more thing to just complete this little rant – if your phone rings out loud once, while in the quiet study area of the library, surely you will be embarrassed enough to activate the silent feature so it doesn’t happen again. No. Apparently that is not the case. Over the past 9 days of study at Fisher Library, there has been two distinct ring tones from the same two people that have gone off without fail each day at least three times. One of them the generic Nokia tune, the other some really annoying song. Now, due to the large area that these study desks span, it’s almost impossible to pinpoint who the perpetrators are.

- Until today, while on a break at a computer down stairs, an Asian couple sharing the computer next to me had one of their phones go off – it was the Nokia tune….. Okay, don’t jump to conclusions – it might not actually be the same idiot. That was until five minutes later, the girl had her phone ring out loud too – and yes, it was the insanely annoying song. *unimpressed*. They defined “Dumb and Dumber”. Was gonna slap them, but then thought nah, they’d probably cry.
