Jono wants you to smile….

As most of you have probably already heard, Apple released new iPods and new software this morning! The new iPod nano design looks good
They’ve probably reverted to the old rectangular shape due to the realisation that the square iPod nanos had squished scroll wheels that were a bit hard to work with (especially if you have massive fingers like me). The nanos now have an accelerometer sensor to detect when the device is being held sideways – so that videos and photos on the screen can respond accordingly. But the neatest feature of all is that you can shake them to shuffle to a new song! I just hope that it doesn’t automatically switch to new songs while your listening to it while it’s in your pocket or bag.
Same price tags on the nanos, but the new iPod touch (which is also a lot thinner) have come down in price so as to not suffer at the hands of the booming iPhone market. iTunes 8 was released, and the new iPhone 2.1 software was announced. Check out all the details here.
In Other News:
- I bought a digital SLR camera! After plenty of research and hard deliberation I realised that quality beats quantity even when it comes to digital cameras. So I stayed away from the relatively “noob” competition in the dSLR market (i.e. Sony) and bought the Canon 450D at a very good price online. Should hopefully be delivered in the next few days.
- Mid-semester Physiology exam tomorrow morning at 9am. Joy! Back to study for now…
